Back to B Corp

FutureBrand in Australia has been re-certified as a B Corp.

After first earning certification in 2023, following an 18-month process that assessed the company for its social and environmental impact across five critical areas – corporate governance, employee experience, client engagement, community involvement and environmental footprint – FutureBrand's operations in Australia have continued to focus on making a positive impact.

Three years later, after undergoing another rigorous process facilitated by B Lab, FutureBrand's recertification in Australia demonstrates how the company is meeting the rising standards for social and environmental performance, by balancing profit, people and the planet.

We've always believed that B Corp offers us a framework for constant improvement. So while it speaks to how far we’ve come, it also sets the tone for where we’re headed. And how we can partner with brands to deliver real impact with lasting benefits.

Rich Curtis – CEO Australia, FutureBrand

B Lab is the non-profit that created and administers B Corp certification, in search for a credible way to measure 'good' business. B Lab operates a global network across more than 100 countries, and its community includes more than 9,500 certified B Corps across 160 industries as part of its mission to transform the global economy to benefit people, communities, and the planet.

The B Lab standards are at the core of the B Corp movement and its ‘Theory of Change’ – acting as a blueprint for business impact. Since its foundation in 2006, B Lab has continually evolved its standards, changing just as fast as the world around us, in order to equip companies to successfully manage their impact and drive meaningful change.

B Corp recertification of FutureBrand in Australia reflects the company's ongoing commitment to making lasting change within the broader community. From enhancing its own employee experience via its parental leave policy that extends the same benefits both to primary and to secondary caregivers and offers a Regional Internship Program to help diversify access to the creative industry, for example, to building unmistakable and impactful brands for its clients across a range of sectors.

For brands in the Not-For-Profit sector, this extends to FutureBrand's Pro Bono program in Australia designed to help Not-For-Profit organisations leverage their brand more effectively for improved social and environmental outcomes – and through which FutureBrand has supported the Autism Association of Australia, Guide Dogs Australia and the National Breast Cancer Foundation, among others.

In working with the National Breast Cancer Foundation to develop and deliver a distinctive and motivating brand strategy in support of the Foundation’s vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer, FutureBrand continues to work collaboratively across the organisation to embed the brand strategy and enhance its impact through a strategic roadmap that extends from brand architecture to brand identity, brand experience, brand training and beyond.

When we set out to change our name, we needed a partner who would not just design a new logo, but understood why the change mattered. FutureBrand pushed us past ‘awareness’ and helped us find language and an identity that matches the seriousness of the fight ahead for Australian families. Their pro bono support gave us months of strategic and creative work we could never have afforded to buy outright.

Nicole Rogerson, CEO & Founder of Autism Association of Australia

FutureBrand has also played an instrumental role in the rebrand of Autism Australia. Donating an investment of more than $100,000 into this project. The engagement extends FutureBrand's pro bono programmes for the not-for-profit sector.

This is B Corp recertification in practice for FutureBrand in Australia, rising beyond the standards to create impact you can feel.
